    The Tiger Fan Club is pleased to announce that it is offering two $1,000.00 scholarships and two $500.00 scholarships to senior students from Farmington High School.  These scholarships are designed to celebrate the participation of students in extracurricular sports or activities while simultaneously excelling in the class room and community. The Tiger Fan Club Scholarships reflect an appreciation for those students who have demonstrated how preparation and commitment lead to success.

    NOW HIRING: CONCESSION STAND MANAGER

    Reports to:  Tiger Fan Club President & Board of Directors under direction of District 192 staff.

    Education & Experience:

    •  High School diploma or equivalent required.
    • Previous experience working in concessions stands or other food service venue is desirable.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with volunteers, District 192 staff, students, parents and the public.
    • Understands and communicates to concession workers relevant health and safety regulations as they apply to concession stands.
    • Works effectively with minimal guidance; self-directed worker.
    • High level of accuracy in maintaining financial records.
    • Demonstration of and commitment to Tiger Fan Club and District core values and missions.
    • Have basic Excel skills

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    The concessions manager performs various functions related to the operation of the Concession Stands for all Farmington High School athletic and activities events. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned: 

    Oversee volunteer operations:

    • Create volunteer schedule for all boosters via Sign Up Genius.
    • Coordinate all volunteers for coverage of all shifts.
    • Develop and maintain stand operating manual for volunteers

    Oversee products/menu:

    • Purchase, transport, stock and maintain inventory of food and supplies. 
    • Manage inventory carefully and returnable items are sold back to vendors when possible

    Oversee day-to-day operations: 

    • Training volunteers to operate equipment as well as prepare food 
    • Ensure all concession areas have proper displays and merchandise. 
    • Maintain cleaning, opening and closing schedule for stands and all equipment.
    • Ensure stand procedures meet or exceed health department regulations for health and safety.

    Oversee financial aspects:

    • Perform end of shift cash handling procedures.  
    • Ensure dual control is maintained in preparing cash deposits and deposits are made in a timely manner.
    • Work closely with TFC Treasurer in regard to banking needs for concessions operations.
    • Delivery of cash deposits to Treasurer or bank as requested. 
    • Manage all receipts for submission to TFC Treasurer

    Other:

    • Attend monthly TFC meetings or prepare monthly report for monthly meetings regarding operations, expenses, income, maintenance requests and equipment needs.
    • Partner with District staff to ensure proper use of stand.
    • Assist individual boosters with product needs for own events.
    • Comply with all applicable state and federal laws, District policy, established work rules and guidelines and administrative/supervisory directives.

     

    Working Conditions:

    • At will position with compensation rate to be established annually.
    • 2017/2018 academic year salary is $5,600.00.
    • Hours may vary, depending on sports season and number of events scheduled in a week. 
    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

    Create volunteer schedule, work with committee to develop menu and pricing for the season, purchase, transport, stock and maintain inventory of food and supplies, manage inventory carefully and returnable items are sold back to vendors when possible, educate volunteers to operate equipment as well as prepare food, ensure all concession areas have proper displays and merchandise, maintain cleaning, opening and closing schedule for stands and all equipment, ensure end of shift cash handling procedures, work closely with TFC Treasurer in regard to banking needs for concessions operations, attend monthly TFC meetings or prepare monthly report for monthly meetings regarding operations, expenses, income, maintenance  requests and equipment needs, partner with District staff to ensure proper use of stand. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.  Hours vary depending on sports and activities seasons and the events scheduled. 

    Salary available upon request.
