Color Guard

Color Guard is the non-musical and main visual ensemble for the fall marching band. Color guard includes a variety of equipment such as flags, swing flags, rifles, and sabres but is heavily influenced by dance, as you do not simply spin but instead dance with the equipment. They are the story tellers of the program furthering the story line with their vivid and visually appealing performance. From gorgeous fairytale to fierce jazz the color guard portrays a wide range of emotions and styles.  As previously stated dance is a large portion of what color guard is, however here at FHS we take that to the next level by adding a featured dance line incorporating dance and gymnastics skills that further enhances the program with their emotional connectivity and phenomenal movement.

Rian Mahoney started his musical and theatrical experiences in highschool as a concert percussionist and stage manager.
