Winter Athletic Band (Pep Band) will perform at several sporting events during the winter season. Rehearsals are during band classes after the fall concerts. All students are required to attend at least two pep band events in Trimester 2. Students who wish to letter in band will be required to attend a minimum number of athletic band events. Flip folders to hold pep band music must be purchased before the start of the winter season, usually in 9th grade, and used throughout high school.

As Trimester 1 comes to a close, we begin a new venture in our winter season! All students will participate in the Winter Pep Band. This time of year brings new music to the students as we support our athletic teams! If you are new to pep band, I know you'll enjoy, just ask the older students how much fun this is for us! We get to let loose, dance around, and play some great charts! Pep Band at Farmington High School is AWESOME! On average, we have 100 students at each game and it'd be cool if our average went up this year! If you hold leadership positions in the marching band or are looking to become a leader, you are to attend 60% of pep bands. This is also a great way for students grades 9-12 to get to know each other from other bands, we all bond together! Band Family at it's finest!

For the Trimester 2 grades, students MUST perform at two (2) pep bands. Students do not need to sign up in advance, they just show up! Take a look at your schedules and compare to other activities your students are involved in as we know you are all incredibly busy -- planning ahead is the best! If your student is planning on lettering in band, they must attend at minimum eight (8) pep band performances.

All basketball games meet and are here at FHS. All hockey is at Schmitz-Maki Arena and we meet at BMS in the commons, then walk over to the arena. Students are to be dropped off at BMS and picked up at the arena for hockey. We do stay for the whole game. 

In the event that we move into a section play-off season with an athletic team, we might have more! GO TIGERS!!!

This year the students decided to take our performances up a level and we have a themed "dress" for each pep band! Makes it even more fun! (don't worry, if you forget to dress up, you can still show up. Pep band is SO MUCH FUN!)
